This is one of my favorite posts of the week.  I look forward to it every time.  The best part about it is reading what others post (looking into everyone else's life) and seeing that there is encouragement, prayer needs, and love abounding! You too can take part of this special event over at Simple Woman's Daybook by going here and linking up!

FOR TODAY -

Outside my window...overcast and very cold.

I am thinking
...We may have some winter after all.

I am thankful...for the insight my hubby has.  He is always planning on how to take care of his family in any given situation.

In the kitchen...New menu posted yesterday! Tonight will be Pork chops, stuffing and brussel sprouts.

I am wearing...jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and tennis shoes. (warm clothes)

I am creating....A Christ centered home.

I am going...only work this week!

I am wondering...why I haven't blogged on my homestead blog in such a long time.  I have been doing a lot of reading!

I am reading....A Distant Eden by Lloyd Tackitt.  A fictional story based on being prepared for an EMP.

I am Praying...for Shepherd, our Lambs are back on enemy territory (AKA public school), that the Lord will led us to a place of worship that we can call home, our government, a mind of preparedness for family and family, our friend who had a stroke last year had surgery yesterday, and salvation for many,

I am looking forward to...getting my garden ready!  I know it's early but a girl can dream can't she?  Shepherd and I are talking about all the things that we want to raise this year.

I am learning...more about preparedness.

Around the house...regular house keeping, laundry, keeping the animals fed and the woodbox full.

I am pondering....The Book of Romans!  I am spending the entire year reading and studying it.  Check out my plan here

One of my favorite things...A good book by the fire!

A few plans for the rest of the week...There really isn't much this week!  A slow one for the kids.  Shepherd has a couple of school board meetings but nobody else has anything!  Good nights to stay by the fire!

Each Sunday I will be posting my menu plan for the coming week.  This has always helped to keep me organized in my week and not so rushed in everything I have to do.  Every morning I look at my menu to see if there is anything that I need to do to get dinner started before I go to work. It is nice to some times come home to a house that already smells of dinner!

Monday Jan 14 - Cod fish sandwiches with fries and salad

Tuesday Jan 15 - Pork Chops, stuffing, brussel sprouts

Wednesday Jan 16 - Chicken Enchiladas, refried beans and chips
