I am very excited to have found a place that I can blog about our Homesteading journey. I am not new to blogging but I am to new to weebly so bear with me while I learn the ropes. I live on a small farm in the midwest with my husband whom I will call Shepherd, because he leads his flock. And our three Lambs, Sissy (20), Bah-Bah (16), and Poncho (14), and my 87 year old Grandmother (Granny). This blog is about our little family living on a piece of land that the good Lord has allowed us to borrow for the short time that we are in existence on this planet. We are believers in our Savior Jesus Christ and we attempt to live each day in His will. We believe strongly in the great commission in that we are to share the gospel with those we encounter. We live this life so graciously given to us on a few acres with our children, chickens, cows, dog and cat. While here we are trying to use the things the Lord has given us to take care of ourselves. We like to garden and we are preserving what we can and all the fresh when possible. The hens give us fresh eggs and meat. Right now we have beef cattle but would like to acquire a milk cow in the future. I hope that this blog will encourage you to live as we should. Providing for our families as much as we can from the land. To feed not only the flesh but the spirit as well.
Along the journey I will post various "how to" projects, pictures of our antics on the farm, and a little about our home life. There are still lots of things that we would like to try. Such as raising a couple of pigs. If there is anything that you are interested in knowing more about just contact me and I will do my best to share whatever knowledge that I may have on farm or Christ related topics. (please fill out the contact form below, your information will not be published). Blessings to you and I hope you enjoy your visit here.
